Automated sliding fire doors allow the door to be used as a functional door system as well as a fire door, reducing costs by providing two separate functions for a single door system and insuring that the door will be operational in the event of a fire. Fire door systems can be equipped with pass doors including multiple doors to provide means of double egress. Sliding fire doors require less headroom than conventional rolling overhead fire doors. Single slide or center-parting configurations are available.
A “Casing Mounted” sliding door system is a door that includes a frame or set of casings that mount to the face of the wall. This design provides an improved seal, allows clearance for pass doors, and reinforcement on the wall for the system as well as superior aesthetic appeal. Gasketing is available for the doors to provide an excellent seal.
